Just a little about DJ novelty mailboxes....I'm a finish carpenter/cabinet maker that loves to paint.....There are many factors in building my mailboxes, for one they do take a lot of time.  You can't build one of these boxes without trial and error and alot of planning;  so I try to do the research to figure the best  results.           My Church mailbox and houses have real 30yr shingles that are cut to size and shape of the real thing.  The windows and doors are graphic vinyl stickers and I send extras with the box in case you ever have to repaint yrs down the road.    As I said earlier I use automotive paints that have UV protection and  sealer inside and out so the paint should last for a long time....  The planes are awesome but I'm working on a new version with more airbrushing to hide the mailbox shape...that will be coming soon.  I also have an antique ford model A in the works, this  is going to be a nice one.....On gallery3 page there are some unique items ....The double barrel shotgun is crazy it has 2" barrels, I built this for a wall mount display for someones man cave . The shotgun looks real; but the 2" barrels are crazy...  I also do a memorial plaque for the cemetery.  This came about when my sister passed away and we wanted a picture on the headstone; which was about $400 plus... I now make these plaques and I put a vinyl picture with UV protection in it, I can make up different pictures,multiples, this way you can change  pictures throughout the year....There is no fading at all....The plaque comes on a rod that you just stick in the ground anywhere you want it...its wonderful...   The snoops mailbox comes with snoops laying down with woody on his stomach...there are other inserts available to change scenes to just about anything..  These mailboxes make great gifts ...Like they say.. A Gift Used Everyday Is A Gift Not Forgotten
